Door locks quit working with 17 751 miles on the truck. One of the first items to note is if the door locks are failing to lock unlock at all four doors or just one when turning the key or using the remote key fob. Purchased new 2014 toyota tundra limited. All doors multiple doors fail.

This last approximately 10 days. I do some research online and find out it s a common problem with toyota. Took truck in for service and told service tech but they couldn t duplicate the problem. I don t know how often it happens with newer models.

I was an angry customer and called toyota to open a case. Internet research showed this has been a semi common problem with older models. Initially driver side lock actuator would not unlock door via remote. Within 2 weeks of repair the passenger side door locks failed.

Toyota tundra owners have reported 3 problems related to power door locks not working under the electrical system category. Approximately 2 weeks later the front passenger door lock actuator problem lasted approximately 7 days. While there is the possibility of a pretty big electrical issue most of the problems are minor and easy to fix. I don t see a lot of posts about it here.
